This type of transformer is used in EMU and multiple units. It is a commuter rail system and has a maximum speed of 100 km/h. These are used in short and medium distance rout in urban and suburban areas.

Dry Type Transformer

AC Coaches Transformers: 5 KVA,60KVA 415/190 V: Dry type air cooled distribution transformer. These dry type transformer are placed in LHB coaches for power supply and these are suspended below. These transformer are used in LHB type EOC AC, NON AC Pantry and power cars.

Dry Type Distribution Transformer

Tribhuwan Enterprises offers a wide range of Dry Type (VPI) Transformer with off Circuit Tap Links/On Load Tap Changer (up to 2500 KVA in 11 KV Class) conforming to the international standards of quality and safety for industries and commercial set-ups. These auxiliary Transformers shown in below Fig. are oil filled and single phase and used in providing grated power in 222/27, 132/27 and 66/27 kV railway traction substation, switching, starting and other location.

Tribhuwan Enterprises Dry Type (VPI) Transformers are fitted in enclosure for indoor/Outdoor installations and are totally maintenance free and safe from fire. They are environmentally friendly as they do not require oil for running thus also making them easier to manage and operate. Use of class ‘F’ /’H’ insulation increases the heat bearing capacity and enables the use of the transformer in humid and chemically polluted atmosphere.
Application: Fire safety and environmental aspects are of increasing importance. The substation of oil filled transformers by dry type transformers is one of the most important steps towards it. Dry Type transformer is used when it has to be located near load center and in areas which have a risk of a fire hazard. The transformer units have a special type of fire-resistant insulation used for the windings, thus reducing the risk.

H.T.Transformer with Built in Automatic Voltage Stabilizer

(TRANSFORMER WITH BUILT IN AVR) Most of the times, it has been realized that even after installing a distribution transformer, the problem of fluctuating voltage remains on the L.T. side. resulting in improper functioning of electrical systems. The Tribhuwan Enterprises H.T. Transformer with built –in H.T.Automatic Voltage Stabilizer provides a complete solution for voltage regulation and stabilization. The unit is a combination of H.T. Automatic Voltage Stabilizer and standard H.T.Distribution transformer. These are available up to 5000 KVA in 11 KV & 33 KV class.
Standard Transformers with Off Circuit Tap Changer can correct limited voltage variations and cannot regulate the voltage in ‘on load’ condition. Our H.T. Transformers with built – in H.T. Automatic Voltage Stabilizer are a perfect solution to counter this concern
Working: The fluctuating voltage from electricity authority is initially stabilized by the built-in H.T. Automatic voltage Stabilizer and then fed to the Transformer providing constant L.T. Output within ±1% accuracy.

Automatic Voltage Stabilizer / Regulators

The Tribhuwan Enterprises Automatic Voltage Stabilizers prevents direct exposure of fluctuating voltage to critical electrical equipment. These are designed for unbalanced supply. It prevents frequent tripping of overload relays to ensure uninterrupted production. The range of input supply for the stabilizer depends upon the voltage condition at the supply point.

Pole Mounted Transformer

Pole mounted transformers are electric utility distribution transformers that are mounted on an electrical service pole (wood or concrete) and are usually at the level of the overhead cables. Pole mounted transformers are the common breadbox transformers used for converting distribution voltage to the 120/240-volt power used by homes and low-volume commercial installations.

Arc and Induction Furnace Transformer

Furnace transformers have a variety of applications across diverse industry segments. In steel industries, it is used for melting and ladle cleansing. It is also used in Ferro-alloy plants. An Electric Arc Furnace is induction which heats up charged material with the help of an electric arc. An induction furnace transformer is used to supply power to an induction furnace, which lowers the high voltage to the lower voltage required for induction furnace applications. At Tribhuwan Enterprises induction furnace transformers could be designed from 50Kva to 5000 Kva.

There are different types of solar transformers including distribution, station, sub-station, pad mounted and grounding.

Rectifier Transformer

The rectifier transformer acts as a link between the grid and the AC to DC converters. Application of rectifier transformers is to provide the required number of phases and voltage shifts needed to realize the conversion and to adjust the rectifier input to vary the DC output voltage. A Rectifier transformer is generally used in various applications such as electrolysis process, aluminum smelting, graphitizing etc.

Specialized and Auto Transformer

In an auto-transformer, both windings i.e. primary and secondary are connected to each other electrically. Those are NOT ISOLATED from each other. Some part of the whole winding carries Primary & Secondary currents (Power). An auto-transformer is a tapped winding transformer that changes the voltage available locally to the voltage required by a particular load.
